Thailand At A Glance
Thailand is a destination we’ve really enjoyed returning to. It offers a great mix of beaches, island life, and excellent food, all of which make it easy to travel and easy to love.
What stands out most about Thailand is how different each area can feel, even when you’re visiting just a few places.
Krabi is known for its limestone cliffs, clear water, and popular boat tours that take you to nearby islands and beaches. Koh Samui has a good balance of beaches, restaurants, and easy access to other islands. Ko Tao is smaller and more relaxed, with calm water that’s ideal for snorkeling, diving, and spending time at the beach.
Most of our time in Thailand was spent on boat tours, beach hopping, and trying local food. Whether it was simple beachfront meals or casual local restaurants, food was a big part of our experience in every destination.
In our Thailand guides, we cover what you need to know about each place we visit. We share our favorite experiences we think are worth prioritizing for your trip as well.
We’re also honest about places we don’t recommend, along with suggestions on where to stay in Krabi, Koh Samui, and Ko Tao based on different travel styles.
Because transportation is often one of the biggest questions, we also explain how to get around—how to travel between destinations, book ferries and boats, and move around once you arrive.
Our goal is to help you plan your Thailand trip with clear, practical information so you can travel with confidence and make the most of your time there.
